Privacy Policy

Curioo is built to need as little of your data as possible. There is no account to create, no analytics or advertising SDK in the app, and your learning progress never leaves your device unless you ask it to.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Curioo mobile application (“Curioo”, “the app”) published by Corentin Settelen, and to the pages of this website that describe it. It explains what the app does and does not collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Questions are answered at contact@bunnyclub.app.

What stays on your device

Curioo works without an account. Everything below is written to your device’s local storage and is not transmitted to us:

  • Your expressions read, favourites, and search history inside the app.
  • Your XP, level, badges, streak and per-game progress.
  • Your preferences: interface language, chosen layout, theme, wallpaper, app icon, and the time of your daily reminder.

Deleting the app deletes this data. We have no copy of it and therefore cannot restore it for you.

What leaves your device

Curioo contacts three services, and only these three:

  • Our content delivery network (cdn.idiom-y.app) — to download the illustration and the pronunciation audio of an expression when you open it. Serving a file necessarily involves your IP address and a standard request log. These logs are used to run and secure the service, and are not used to build a profile of you.
  • RevenueCat — only if you open the subscription screen or make a purchase. RevenueCat manages subscription status on our behalf and receives an anonymous identifier plus the receipt data Apple provides. It does not receive your name or email address. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
  • Apple — payment, subscription management and, if you agree to leave one, App Store ratings. We never see your payment details.

What Curioo does not do

  • No advertising, and no advertising identifier is read.
  • No third-party analytics or attribution SDK is bundled in the app.
  • No tracking across other apps or websites, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data, in the sense given to those terms by the CCPA/CPRA.
  • No account, no email collection inside the app, no contacts, photos, microphone or location access.

Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, Curioo schedules a local notification on your device at the time you pick. It is generated on the device itself — no push server is involved and no device token is sent to us. You can withdraw the permission at any time in iOS or Android settings, or turn the reminder off inside the app.

Widgets

The home-screen and lock-screen widgets read the expression of the day from a shared container on your device. They transmit nothing.

Children

Curioo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Since the app requires no account and collects no personal identifiers, it holds nothing to delete — but if you believe a child’s data has nonetheless reached us, write to us and we will look into it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and comparable laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL).

In practice, because Curioo holds no account and no identifier that points back to you, the data those rights would apply to is the data on your own device. You exercise all of it directly: clear the app’s data, or uninstall it. For anything RevenueCat holds about a purchase, contact us and we will forward the request.

Data retention

On-device data lives until you delete it. CDN request logs are kept for a short technical window and then discarded. Subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as their own terms and the applicable accounting rules require.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the new version is published here before it takes effect.
